Steak Tartar - Love or loath it!

tartar Legend has it that this dish originated from the nomadic Tartar (Turkic speaking) tribe who lived on the southern part of Russia. They were very good horseman, hardworking and always on the move. Time for cooking was very limited, so pieces of meat were placed underneath their saddles while riding, this tenderising the meat and easier to eat raw. 

Putting words on paper.

quill I am not a person that is very good with the written word. I have to admit I do struggle a bit when it comes to putting thoughts into “ink”. That is one of the main reason I started to blog was to practice to do so. Expressing my thoughts verbally I can with limitations. I found out late in my life that to put these thoughts into a written form can be a daunting task. Specially if you are not born with this talent. I do read a lot of blogs, South African and international ones and it amazes me with the ease people can write.
